Ready for a new Gin? Today we bring you an American Gin. Brooklyn Gin, made in New York. Not a large factory where everything is made by machine, but a small company with Joe Santos & Emil Jattne as its founders. Both started as' Brand Directors' of the well-known brand' Bacardi'. But they themselves wanted something else. They chased their dream. They closed the doors of the' Bacardi story' and decided to set up their own distillery.
Of course you need a budget for this, and at the start of their story there wasn't much budget. Partly due to the current crisis and the lack of a budget, the gents were looking for a partner who could make their product together with them. They found a partner, located on the Hudson Valley called' The Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery. The start of their story, the start of making their artisan Gin.
This Brooklyn Gin is made with local ingredients and balances the fresh flavours of citrus with the spicy flavours of juniper. The alcohol they use is made of American grain from small farms.
This gin is so artisanal because of his small batch run. 300 bottles are made per batch. In this way they ensure quality over quantity.
I could look at this bottle for hours. Even now that our bottle is empty, it will remain in the shelf. Of course, the content is of greater importance. I'd like to tell you more about that tomorrow.
