Merry Christmas everyone!
Today we arrived at our number 7. Halfway through our top 15, which means that it became increasingly difficult to give our favorite gins a certain place. But anyway, today it’s time for a cool gin from the Netherlands named ‘Gastrogin, Gin and Jonnie’.
Gastrogin is one of the first gins we bought together at the Gintonicshop in Antwerp and is a gin that I still go back to (and enjoy with a lot of taste). I got to know Gastrogin through the ‘Bruges Gin Club’ where I first drank him and it was love at first taste. An explosion of flavours, a fantastic spicy gin!
The gin is made with 5 different types of pepper but gets a beautiful counterpart that comes from the citrus and fennel used in this gin. Not only the taste is phenomenal, but also the bottle itself is stunning. A bottle which I can proudly show to others and which has a special place at my home! In terms of taste, this gin may not be everyones favourite, but for me Gastrogin couldn’t be missing in this top!
We recommend a Gastrogin-tonic with:
•5 cl Gastrogin
•15 cl Fever Tree Mediterranean
•Rosemary, grapefruit and black pepper (or chili if you like it even more spicy)
