I would like to start the week with one of our favorite bottles in our collection. Today I will bring you the Stockholms Bränneri Oak. We already gave you a lot of information about the people behind the gin and the distillery. Missed that information or you want to check it out a second time, the full article is on our website. The link to the website can be found in our bio. Meanwhile, Calle & Anna have not been standing still. They still work together with their team in their own cozy distillery. It is wonderful to see how much friendship and fun there is. In addition to the delicious (Read that last word as DELICIOUUUS) dry gin, they also have an Oak Gin. This Oak gin had a maturation on an ex-bourbon barrel. The barrel gives off aromas of vanilla and wood. In addition to the botanicals of the original recipe, they also added long pepper and orange zest for this Oak Gin. The combination of all those things together make a complex but very smooth spirit. On the bottle they indicate that the gin has been barreled for 54 days, long enough to let all of the flavours mix together nicely. The result is a flavour bomb, "the cherry on the cake", a sweet kiss on your taste buds. Sometimes they also work together with people from the neighbourhood. For example, they recently made an autumn/winter Edition of the gin. For this creation they went looking for botanicals that can give you a warm feeling during this cold period. They use fresh rosehip, rowanberries, apple and marjoram. A little conclusion: Buy the beautiful products that Calle & Anna make with a lot of love. There is passion, talent, love and friendship. And all of this is here for you for a very nice price!
