Tarquin's Handcrafted Cornish Dry Gin - Perfect serve

Day two of our "Tarquin's special" week. Yesterday we gave you some information about the Tarquin's Dry gin and the story behind the distillery, but today it's time for our tasting notes. Let your taste buds tickle you in advance: N: What a great start, that was the first thing we thought when we opened this bottle. A spicy nose in which juniper is beautifully highlighted. The juniper is assisted by the scent of grapefruit, but somewhere I also pick up a scent of blossoms. W-O-W! P: The palette of flavours opens up with the same flavours as those we noticed in the nose. There is a beautiful harmony between piny juniper and grapefruit. The gin is very smooth in the mouth. Besides juniper and grapefruit, I also notice some coriander. To conclude, the gin brings fresh and spicy flavours into the mouth, but it mainly focuses on juniper berries. Excellent. F: The finish is short/medium and warm, where the spiciness of the gin comes together nicely with the floral tones of violets. S: Our perfect serve for the Tarquin's Dry gin is with a Fever Tree Indian tonic water. Optionally you can also add juniper berries and a slice of fresh grapefruit, but for us this is not even necessary because the gin itself is full of flavours.

We tried a lot of things to be sure that our serve would be a good one. First we tried the gin with a @thomashenryofficial Indian tonic, but this made the gin more dry. Not bad at all, but you need to love the dry finish. Afterwards we had a @franklinandsonsbe Natural tonic water. This combination was better for us, but was still slightly too sweet. @fevertree_beIndian tonic water eventually became the golden combination: not too sweet and not too dry in taste. Perfect. This combination ensures that the T&T is accessible to a wider audience. Enjoy your evening, and enjoy our Tarquin's Dry gin perfect serve. Cheers, Gintasticbelgium
