Tasting notes and perfect serve
N: This special brings a surprisingly nice aroma with it, completely different from the previous two of the Tarquin's series. I especially have a fruity nose, combined with the freshness of the tangerine. In this gin juniper plays more in the background, but it's still present! Very promising! P: Contrary to the smell, in the palette of flavours I have more the spicy juniper. Very quickly this is assisted by very fruity and warm notes. In other words, there is a nice balance between the fruity botanicals and the spicy tones of botanicals like cinnamon F: This gin ensures a long and warm finish. I have the feeling that I've just taken a seat at the Christmas table, because that's the atmosphere the gin brings with it. Ideal in this winter period. It secretly reminds me of gingerbread, but more exactly I have the warmth of cinnamon in the end again! Please bring me the next limited edition! S: As an ideal serve we combine the Tarquin's Mulled Cranberry and Tangerine with a Thomas Henry Indian tonic. The gin comes forward beautifully in combination with this tonic and you keep the Christmas atmosphere. To garnish you can possibly go for a slice of orange or tangerine, but once again this gin doesn't really need any garnish. So, this was it for our Tarquin's special. Hopefully you liked it as much as we did. In the future we will certainly complete our collection of Tarquin's, so perhaps a new special will be added very soon. To all of our Belgian fans: During the weekend of 20-21-22 April, you will find the Tarquin's gin at Ghent Gin Festival. Until then!
Background story
And last but not least, I would love to present to you this LIMITED EDITION TARQUIN’S GIN. You could already conclude from the Seadog that Tarquin loves to work with Limited Editions. And this makes it even more fun for real gin lovers to discover the whole range. We also purchased a Limited Edition of this amazing range. Especially the Tarquin's Mulled Cranberry & Tangerine. The recipe of this gin has been started from the flagship Tarquin's Dry Gin. The same 12 botanicals were used and as extra botanicals he used: ginger, all spice, clove and an extra amount of cinnamon. Real winter herbs that immediatly remind you of Christmas and cosy evenings. Just like the first gin, after distillation they only added water to bring the Gin to an ABV of 42%. This Limited Edition is another beautiful addition to the existing range. For us another one to add to the favorites. Cheers to the weekend,
Gintasticbelgium
