The General's Gin - Perfect Serve

After an amazing visit at Gintonicstore it is time to share our tasting notes and perfect serve of the General's Gin. Let's go!

N: This gin brings for me a somewhat complex nose. It is pretty fresh, and I notice a mix of pine and floral/fruity tones. I can certainly smell the vanilla and candied orange. When the glass is slightly longer open and the gin has some time to breath, you will certainly have extra citrus from the apple oranges and lemon. Juniper is missing a little bit for me.

P: The palette opens up elegantly and smoothly. A real treat for the tongue after which black pepper and dill can be tasted. This creates a playful tickle on the tongue. Juniper berries are also featured beautifully in the palette and give some warmth. At the end there is the switch to the soft and sweet/freshness of the gin again.

F: The finish is medium - long. At the end there is a short spice of black pepper and juniper. Delicious!

S: For this gin we recommend a Fitch & Leedes Indian tonic water. This creates a great South African combination. We garnish this one with juniper berries and a part of dried orange.

We love this gin without a doubt. If you want to get your own bottle of the General's gin, than order it at www.gintonicstore.be or via Elvama Wines.

Cheers,

Gintasticbelgium!
